According to Quranic verses and numerous narrations from both major schools of thought (fariqayn), the extraction of the soul for believers is characterized by ease; furthermore, certain traditions suggest that the difficulty of death for some believers serves as an atonement for their sins (kaffārah). Conversely, specific narrations within both traditions of Sunni and Shia suggest that the extraction of the soul for some prophets was fraught with difficulty. Given the absolute infallibility (ʿiṣmah mutlaqah) of the prophets, the inapplicability of expiation for sins in their case and in light of specific evidence regarding the ease of their passing, these narrations are subject to doubt. Due to the intersection of these reports with the doctrines of prophetic infallibility and the believers' expectations of death, an examination of their chains of transmission (sanad), thematic content, and Semantic analysis is essential. By scrutinizing the evidence concerning the difficulty of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) demise through a descriptive-analytical methodology, the following results were obtained: the weakness of the transmission chains for several narrations, the irrational content of others, and a lack of actual indication of "difficulty" in the remaining reports. Consequently, the narrations in question are deemed inadmissible.
