The story of "The Deer's Guarantee" by Imam Reza (PBUH) is one of the most frequent religious beliefs in popular culture and Shiite artistic manifestations. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate its documentary and content validity. This research, using a descriptive-analytical method, first critiques the documentary evidence of the four reports (from Sheikh Saduq's narration to popular and local beliefs) and explains that the oldest narrative source (Uyoun Akhbar Al-Reza) has narrated this event not as an "infallible hadith," but as a "historical report" with unknown narrators and related to the Karamat of the Razavi Shrine after the martyrdom. In the content review section, based on Quranic and narrative principles and criticism of commentators' opinions, the view of "real and conscious glorification" of creatures is explained, and it is proven that the spiritual perception of animals is ontologically quite possible. The final findings of the research show that the famous narrative of "guarantee during life" is a later construct and the result of the temporal interference of the shrine's miracles with similar miracles in the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and other Imams, which has been established in the collective memory and written sources in later times due to the special position of the Eighth Imam in the geography of Iran
